BURNLEY runner, Tony Lord, made £2-a-minute for charity when he pounded 26 miles of streets in the London marathon .
He managed to complete the world's most famous annual run in three hours and 44 minutes - although he says it took him somewhat longer to recover!
But it was all well worthwhile - producing a £452 sponsorship cash boost for Hospice Care in Burnley and Pendle.
Tony, of Ennerdale Road, presented his cheque to hospice general manger, Drew Kimber and appeals and marketing manager, Mark Sandamas, at a hand-over at the Pendleside centre at Reedley.
Now he is already planning his training for next year's event.
