POLICE officers managed to talk a middle-aged man out of jumping from the multi-storey car park above Nelson Bus Station early today.
The 38-year-old local man, who has not been named, was taken to Burnley General Hospital for a check-up and treatment.
Officers were called to the car park next to the town's police station at 2am. They managed to get the man talking and persuaded him not to jump.
Paramedics and the fire brigade were also called to the scene.
