RESIDENTS in Lower Darwen face another fight to save green space from housing development.
An application to build 100 homes was turned down in February amid complaints it could create Traffic chaos.
Blackburn with Darwen Council planning officers initially recommended the plan should go ahead, but changed their minds and turned it down in February.
But residents were warned at the time that developers were likely to return with new plans, and now an application to build 81 houses has been submitted.
Traffic calming measures in the area have been included in the development as a response to surveys which indicated congestion levels may be high if a development was given the go-ahead.
