I WOULD like to thank the members of the public who assisted my sister in King Street, Blackburn, on June 10 following a savage attack by a stray dog on one of my two dogs which she was walking.
This was a serious incident which almost cost the life of my dog, and left my sister in a severe state of shock.
I hope by writing, some positive results can be drawn in relation to the owner of this dog, as it is dangerous and as yet free to roam the streets.
The police were involved and I was informed that this type of incident is not classed as a crime.
Sadly, my sister was robbed of her confidence and the expense is unjust due to an irresponsible dog owner.
M THOMPSON (Mrs), Blackburn.
