SOCCER stars of past and present from Blackburn Rovers and Burnley are expected at the funeral of Keith Newton next week.
Newton, the former Blackburn, Burnley and England full back, died on Tuesday, aged 56, after a long battle against cancer.
The funeral service will be held at 11am on Monday at St Peter's Church, Salesbury, before cremation at Pleasington.
Tributes have already been paid by players and officials from the clubs where Newton, who was capped 27 times by England, had a distinguished career.
