A "MYSTERY" woman featured on the front of a council tourism brochure has been traced thanks to eagle-eyed Lancashire Evening Telegraph readers.
Pendle Council was inundated with telephone calls from people who recognised her following an appeal in the newspaper.
The woman was identified as Angela Rowlands, of Trawden, who was originally photographed taking her dog for a stroll near Boulsworth Hill.
Angela, a keen walker, was more than happy to return to the spot to help officially launch the Pendle Discovery Guide which features her on the cover.
"I was thrilled to hear that I was featured on the cover of the guide," said Angela, a medical secretary at Burnley General Hospital.
"I think Pendle is a beautiful place with lots to see and do so I was happy to be involved in promoting it."
The guide features places to visit and stay as well as items on the Pendle Witches tourism trail, the Pendle Way footpath and the annual Great British Rhythm and Blues music festival in Colne.
It is available from tourist information centres locally and nationwide.
