CLITHEROE chemical company ICI Katalco has been presented with an Investors in People award.
The firm, which makes and sells chemical catalysts and gas purification absorbents, successfully developed a system of policies during 1997 with the help of ELTEC.
And the company, which has headquarters in the north east of England, is thrilled with the award.
Works manager Martin Hill said: "People are at the heart of our operations and I am proud of the commitment and dedication of our 180 employees here who I believe are second to none."
Four other organisations join ICI Katalco in celebrating awards. Blackburn's Richardson House, a division of the Royal National institute for Deaf People, Burnley-based Cherrytree Bakery, Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council's community development section and bar and catering services and Marsden Building Society, which has branches throughout East Lancashire.
