LUCKY England fan Shaun Trower was on his way to watch tonight's World Cup clash with Romania in style today after scooping a ticket on Chris Evans' Virgin Radio breakfast show.
Shaun, who introduced himself on air as Tucker, beat off thousands of callers to win a trip to Toulouse on a private jet.
And the relief chef, of Birch Hall Avenue, Darwen, had to dash out of the house almost as soon as he put the phone down to catch the train to Luton.
His excited mum Catherine said: "The deal was that whoever won had to be in Luton by 2pm today to catch the private jet laid on by Virgin. Shaun was absolutely over the moon and just grabbed a bag with a few things in and dashed off to catch the train. "He knew about the competition last night and was up really early this morning. When I came down he was ringing and ringing and eventually got through about 8am. He answered the question and Chris kept him in suspense for a couple of minutes but he got it right and was absolutely thrilled."
Blackburn Rovers fan Shaun, 25, will watch the England versus Romania game from an executive seat and spend the night in a first class hotel before flying home tomorrow.
