SPRIGHTLY centenarian Elizabeth Heywood tucked into her 100th birthday cake as she read her telegram from the Queen. The former weaver celebrated her big day with family and friends at Great Harwood Lodge, Great Harwood.
She has lived in Great Harwood all her life and has three daughters, two of whom live in Australia, eight grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Her granddaughter Marion Caton said: "She is very sprightly and has never worn a pair of glasses in her life. We arranged for her to have a large cake to enjoy while she read her telegram from the Queen."
