BILLY McKinlay will be urging on his Blackburn Rovers team-mates in Scotland's do-or-die World Cup showdown with Morocco tomorrow night.
McKinlay is set to miss the game through injury so will be relying on others to extend his World Cup dream.
It's rough luck on the Rovers midfielder who was set to replace the suspended Darren Jackson for the game when Scotland must earn at least a draw to have any chance of reaching the second phase for the first time ever.
But an abdomen strain sustained in training is set to keep him on the sidelines and playing a supporting role to Colin Hendry, Kevin Gallacher and company.
Meanwhile, Rovers were waiting for further news today regarding Bastia defender Sebastian Perez.
Represtentatives of the player met Blackburn officials last week and further contact was expected today regarding the player's thoughts on a move to Ewood.
Former Blackburn boss Kenny Dalglish has failed in an attempt to rekindle the successful partnership with Ray Harford that brought the Premiership title to Ewood in 1995.
Dalglish hoped to take Harford to St James's Park as coach to succeed Tommy Burns after a disappointing season last time around but Harford is staying as manager of QPR.
