ON Saturday, June 13, my friends and I attended "Symphony At The Tower" at Hoghton. Despite the damp air and constant threat of rain, we enjoyed a wonderful evening.
A picnic meal, followed by a most enjoyable programme of music played by the Northern Chamber Orchestra and a finale of fabulous fireworks made for a most memorable event.
Thanks to all responsible for the hard work they must have put in and to those who sponsored the event.
We hope that St Catherine's Hospice has benefited substantially and we look forward eagerly to the next time.
EILEEN M EASTHAM (Mrs), Milton Close, Darwen.
