POLICE are looking for two men who walked into a Morecambe jewellers and stole six trays of assorted rings worth £13,000.

The pair entered the jewellers in the Arndale Centre last Friday, June 5, when one of them waited at the counter browsing through a catalogue. The other then forced a locked display cabinet and made off with six trays of rings.

One of the men was described as a white male, with short dark hair and a dark moustache aged around 30 years. He was of slim build and was wearing a dark jacket with light stripes down the sleeve.

The other was a short, white male, 35 to 40 years of age, and balding and officers are still looking for two men who viciously attacked a Lancaster teenager after throwing him into the canal. The teenager was pushed into the water between the White Cross and Water Witch Pubs and when he tried to climb out he was punched in the face and knocked back into the water. He escaped by swimming to the other side and sustained a broken cheekbone and a swollen eye. One attacker was described as a white male, 6ft 2ins tall and broad built, with short cropped blonde hair wearing a white T-shirt. The 2nd was a white male, 5ft 10ins, tall, broad, with cropped hair wearing a white/orange top with jeans and trainers.
