A LEYLAND father is threatening legal action after a miniature train accident resulted in his family ending up in hospital.
Andrew Martin, of Burlington Gardens, Leyland, was riding on Worden Park's miniature railway - operated by the Leyland Society of Model Engineers - with his wide, Amanda, and two-year-old daughter Tallulah when the train tilted on a bend, causing them to fall off. Mr Martin says his wide was hurled into a fence as the train turned, while he and his daughter suffered from bruising and shock.
Several other passengers fell off the train, one of Worden Park's biggest crowd pullers during the summer.
Mr Martin now plans to sue the model engineers. He said: "I believe the train was going too fast." The engineers declined to comment.
