THE sad demise of an historic building continues.
Haydock Park Farm, at the junction of the A580 and the M6 continues to fall in to dereliction.
My research in to the building last year revealed that at the end of the last century it was an important Victorian "model farm" and letters in the local press generated enormous interest.
No one, however, seems to know what fate awaits the house and farm buildings, which form a major landmark for many people arriving in this area.
Rumours abound that the buildings are being allowed to decay in order that the land can be used as an industrial estate.
Could anyone help to throw some light on this sorry state of affairs?
