JANET Parr has always supported Preston North End so when she got the chance to work at Deepdale she took it with open arms.
She joined the staff three-and-a-half years ago as a public administrator in the ticket office.
Janet finished that role 18 months ago and now works with a number of the bosses at the ground, in particularly Finance Director Tony Scholes.
She said: "I do all the paperwork for Tony including letters, annual accounts and general correspondence."
After working closely with the directors, Janet has nothing but admiration for Tony and his fellow bosses, Peter Church and Nigel Webster.
"There has been a big change since they arrived a couple of years ago. The club has progressed so much and everything is now so much more professional."
When they arrived Janet was working in the ticket office where she managed to keep up with her beloved paperwork.
"Although I was busy dealing with the public, when selling tickets, I did get the chance to write and at that time I did all the correspondence for PNE."
At that time Janet typed out contracts, press releases and all letters to clients.
Now, in a different role, Janet is loving her day-to-day job at Deepdale.
"I've been in this role for 18 months and I'm really enjoying it. It's great to be able to work behind the scenes of a club I've followed as a little girl."
Indeed being a local girl, 30 year-old Janet has always had a special affection with Preston North End.
"My dad used to take me when I was younger and we used to stand on the old south paddock and cheer on the North End players."
After leaving school, Janet studied as a secretary at college and then spent two years as a temp at Ormskirk Hospital.
She then joined Barnados in Leyland where she worked as a public administrator for seven and a half years.
Another year of temping followed as she dreamt of working at Deepdale. Sure enough she got her big break after being offered a job in the ticket office.
"I was delighted when I was offered the job - it was great for me to be able to work at my favourite ground."
Janet is now firmly secured in her role and is .
She said: "It's a perfect job and I certainly wouldn't dream of moving on."
