A TRIO of students at Bedford High helped Wigan Borough win their only gold at the Greater Manchester Youth Games.
Competing in the judo section the 15-strong team won for the second straight year.
Individually, Paul Pemberton, 13, won gold and 15-year-old brother Chris - both members of the AJ Club - took silver, while 13-year-old Cheryl Lewis won bronze.
Cheryl, who trains at the Yoshin Ryu club, was handed the team trophy by the Duke of Westminster.
The team, which amassed four gold, five silver and five bronze, was managed by Tyldesley Judo Club's Frank Jones.
In his four years in charge the team has won three gold and a silver.
