ATTENTION Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, a common, but chronic, condition, affects a sizeable proportion of our school age children.
The core symptoms of hyperactivity, inattention, impulsiveness and sometimes learning difficulties cause educational underachievement, social ineptitude and profound family turbulence.
May I inform the thousands of parents of ADHD/Special needs children who are perhaps not aware of the fact, that my wife edits a bi-monthly newsletter which is available for parents, sufferers and professionals who work with these challenging children.
Because of the nature of ADHD, its effects have to be managed by a number of different agencies throughout the child's life such as school, psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers etc. The newsletter exists to give support to parents and bring up-to-date information to professional subscribers.
Local parents or professionals who would like details can get them by sending an SAE marked 'Update' to the address below.
