PACE ace Graham Duddle ripped the heart out of the opposition on Saturday.
Using the damp surface to good effect, the medium pacer snapped up seven wickets to send Leigh in early with a 114-run win.
Liverpool Competition rivals Hightown never got a look in.
Duddle's 13-over burst gave him splendid figures of 7-14 - including FIVE maidens - as Hightown crumbled to 61 all out.
Kane Kersnovske, Dave Potter (on his 1st X1 return after exams) and Chris Hall wrapped it up with a wicket apiece.
Earlier a superb third wicket stand of 153 between Steve Bailey and Hall took Leigh from a dicey 12-2 to a declared total of 175-3.
Bailey was in blazing form with a stylish 80 including eight fours and two sixes while young Bury all-rounder Hall, undefeated on 76, again underlined what a great acquisition he has been.
Leigh have now won five of their last six matches, the weather preventing a clean sweep. Confidence abounds at Beech Walk!
GLAZEBURY crashed to a heavy defeat in the derby game against Rylands.
The Warrington side scored a formidable 182-5.
And, despite good knocks by John Acton (31) and Jon Gibbons (25), Glazebury tumbled out at 88.
But all-rounder Mark Tomlinson steered Glazebury 2nd to victory.
He took 4-44 as Rylands fell for 67, Roger Davenport taking 6-22.
Then Mark hit an unbeaten 56 as Glazebury strolled in at 70-1.
