A MAN was due to appear before Blackburn magistrates today charged with wounding with intent after an alleged stabbing incident.
Anthony Sweeney, 60, of St Michael's Court, Blackburn, was arrested after the incident outside a post office in Preston New Road, Blackburn, yesterday.
Meredith Talbot, 47, of Fosse Close, Roman Road, Blackburn, has a stab wound in his chest. He is 'comfortable and stable" in Blackburn Infirmary.
