POLICE have renewed their appeal for information about a polite gunman who raided a shop at Greenhill, Bacup at 3.50pm yesterday.
The robber repeatedly apologised as he stuck a handgun into the ribs of shopkeeper Barbara Irwin and handcuffed her to a fridge.
He got away with about £300 cash and £400 worth of cigarettes.
The robber was white, in his early 20s, 5ft 6ins tall, slim, clean shaven and slightly tanned, with dark hair and dark brown eyes. He wore glasses and spoke with a soft Irish accent.
