DANCE and groove to rhythms from Senegal, Brazil, Cuba and Guinea at The Platform later this month.
A midsummer evening of percussion has been organised featuring 'Abasindi' from Manchester, Glasgow-based 'Repercussion' and Morecambe's very own 'Broadbeat.'
'Repercussion' play sizzling samba typical of Rio street carnivals while 'Abasindi' are an all-dancing, all drumming women's pan African group.
'Broadbeat' are a 20 piece percussion outfit of local women using hands, feet and voice to illustrate community music at its best.
Catch the extravaganza on June 20 at The Platform in Morecambe. For more details call 831997.
