PETER Sleep has been confirmed as Darwen's professional for the rest of the season.
The Australian all-rounder replaced Nikhil Chopra for last weekend's defeat to Chorley and will now fill the role for the remainder of Darwen's Northern League campaign.
That continues tomorrow with a trip to struggling Blackpool who, like Darwen, are yet to win a league game this year.
Tony Beesley is rewarded for his century in the seconds last week with a place in the Darwen side and Geoff Hacking also returns as they replace Nigel Robins and Paul Rodden.
Blackpool's professional is Marcus Sharp who opened the bowling for Cumberland in their NatWest Trophy defeat by Derbyshire on Wednesday.
