TO Kenny Dalglish she was affectionately known as "Pet" and to many football fans as "Annie the Nanny" when she escorts the team mascot on to the pitch.
These were some of the details of Ann Barry's demanding job as official photographer at Blackburn Rovers Football Club, revealed to young reporters during an Industry Day at St James CE Primary School, Clitheroe.
Representatives from 16 local companies worked with children in every year, helping some pupils to carry out practical tasks while others interviewed their guests to gather information on their jobs, companies and products.
Meanwhile, eight year six pupils, working with NIE Co-ordinator Rita Shaw, set up a newsroom to report on activities throughout the school. The resulting newspaper will provide a record of a memorable day for both pupils and their friends from industry.
