BURNLEY today denied turning to a Manchester firm of solicitors in their bid to find new cash, writes NEIL BRAMWELL.
Sources claim the club approached Addleshaw and Booth, a firm the club has used for several years, asking for help in securing investment.
It was claimed the approach had been made "as a matter of urgency".
But club officials dismissed any contact as "on-going discussions".
The board, however, have been forced to look at new options with Peter Shackleton's bid running out of steam.
New York-based tycoon Ray Ingleby - the fans' favourite - remains keen to take control.
But chairman Frank Teasdale wants new promises before re-opening talks with Ingleby.
