A RIBBLE Valley village is to host a sell-out concert featuring a world-famous musician.
International violinist Tasmin Little is one of the star attractions at this year's Ribchester Music Festival starting today.
The event, in St Wilfrid's Church until Sunday, will also feature top pianist Martin Roscoe, Hungarian guitar duo The Katona Twins and Russian folk ensemble Csardas.
There will also be a singing masterclass for youngsters with renowned music teacher Barbara Robotham and participants will be invited to perform at an end-of-festival tea party at the St Wilfrid's Church rectory.
The festival is now in its sixth year, and artistic director Malcolm Layfield said this year's festival promised to be the best to date, featuring some world-class artists.
And the Tasmin Little recital, also featuring top pianist Martin Roscoe, would be one of the "outstanding highlights," he said.
"The unique, friendly atmosphere of the festival set in such stunning surroundings is an irresistible combination that draws people from far and wide to Ribchester.
"This year's festival promises to be truly memorable, with something for everyone, from art, concerts and workshops to jazz, poetry and street theatre," he promised.
