SEVENTY-year-old Bill Ernstzen had said he would not cry, but it was a struggle to hold back the tears as he threw his arms around his sister Millie for the first time in 30 years.
Amateur cricketer Bill had left Cape Town with his wife Mary, in the 1950s, but settled in Blackburn to pursue his sporting ambitions.
Bill broke into a sprint across Blackburn's Boulevard as his sister arrived after a long journey from Johannesburg.
