WELL known piano accordion player Evelyn King has died of a stroke in Park Lee Hospital, Blackburn, aged 77.
Mrs King often played at charity events and at parties at Queens Park Hospital, Blackburn.
Most recently Mrs King played on St Patrick's Day at the Victoria Bar in Victoria Street.
Her husband, John King, of Lytham Road, Blackburn, said she gave a great deal of pleasure to many people.
Mrs King was born Evelyn Baldwin in Blackburn. She married twice and had three sons: Peter, now living in Australia, Bernard, now living in Canada, and Geoffrey, who is travelling round the world.
During the war she worked in a gas mask factory and then at ROF Engineering. She later worked at Higher Croft Post Office.
The funeral will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Succour RC Church, Higher Croft, on Friday morning.
