AUSSIE Kane Kersnovske showed his mettle with bat and ball on Saturday.
But it wasn't enough to earn Leigh victory against Northern.
Both openers Kersnovske and Steve Davey hit half-centuries with good back-up from Andy Mullaney to post a challenging target of 201.
Northern looked good at 82-1 before Kersnovske ripped out the middle order. But they hung on for the draw at 157-8.
On Sunday Kendal built up a useful 153, but Leigh fell 50 short despite brave efforts from Chris Hall and Danny Carty.
The previous week Kersnovske led Leigh to a dramatic seven-wicket penultimate ball win over second-placed Ormskirk.
His unbeaten 98 was the backbone of Leigh's 220. Good support from Steve Bailey (56) and Hall (45).
