I WOULD like to add my voice to the growing call to ban alcohol in public places.
Blackpool and Kendal have seen fit to impose the ban and surely now is the time for Lancaster city council to do the same. Visitors and locals alike do not want to see groups of individuals sat around drinking morning, noon and night. It is threatening and abusive, especially to a mother with young children or older people.
We try to attract visitors to this area, but this sort of image can only damage Lancaster and Morecambe's reputation.
