THE parents of skating-mad youngsters have criticised council workers for taking a miniature ramp from a Leyland back street.
South Ribble Borough Council cleared an alley behind Stanley Street and took the custom-made miniature ramps with them, despite being told not to by residents.
The equipment belonged to Robert Sharples, 12, who got the ramps from a local church. His dad Colin, said: "The kids have spent hours playing on the ramp. They are very disappointed."
According to Mr Sharples, a neighbour tried to explain who the ramps belonged to to the council workers but they still took them.
A spokesman for South Ribble Borough Council said they were looking into the incident.
