A POLICE chief issued a holiday warning to women drivers fearful of becoming stranded on Lancashire motorways: Stay with your car and don't accept lifts.
The warning came in the wake of the killing of pregnant Marie Wilks, whose body was found beside the M50 after her car broke down.
The police, the AA and the RAC pledged to act as quickly as possible to help drivers, especially women, who broke down.
