AN 84-year-old woman was left upset after being deceived by a man pretending to examine her walls at 3pm on Thursday, June 16.
After being let into her house in Harweood Road, Preston, he stole cash from a purse before running off.
He was described as 20 years old, short hair, 5ft 8ins tall, wearing a dark jumper and trousers. He spoke with a local accent and wore white trainers.
After forcing open a shed and attempting to steal a Honda lawnmower, a thief was confronted by the householder at 8.15pm on Sunday, June 14.
He suddenly dropped the property and escaped in a 'B' registered blue Peugeot 205 saloon which had been waiting for him.
He was described as 5ft 10ins tall, long scruffy hair, wearing a green jacket.
A television was stolen from a man walking along Chatsworth Street, Preston at 9.40pm on Saturday, June 20.
The victim described the thief as an asian male, around 16-years-old, wearing a white shirt, dark trousers and a white cap. A witness said the offender was white, 5ft 8ins tall, wearing a dark blue jacket.
A blue coat was stolen from a shop in Canberra Road, Leyland at 2pm on Saturday, June 13. The thief was in his late twenties, 5ft 8ins tall, short brown hair, with a moustache, wearing a green jacket, black pants and carrying a bumbag.
At around 8.45pm on Monday, June 15 a man was slapped across the cheek after refusing to give his attacker some money. The offender was in his twenties, 5ft 9ins tall, with short dark hair, wearing a blue and white Adidas top.
A scruffy man sneaked in to a house in Chorley Road, Walton-le-Dale between 5pm and 7pm on Tuesday, June 16, and stole a bag containing a number of personal items.
Bank documents, cash, a brooch, keys and a purse were all stolen in a Marks and Spencer drawstring bag while the owner was in the back garden.
He was slim, 6ft tall, with short dark hair and a beard. He wore a green top and tracksuit bottoms.
