TEENAGE rounders stars Susan and Laura Fletcher will be aiming to deliver a 'double whammy' when they line up for the England team against Wales at Rhyl this weekend.
The 18-year-old twins from Park Street, Haydock, are members of the St Helens Grasshoppers team based at Bishop Road playing field.
First introduced to the sport by their former games teacher at Haydock High School, Rita Jones, the girls are stepping up to the senior international side after being members of the England Under 21s squad since last season.
And the twins are now carrying their love of sport across to their studies as well. Both are taking exams in Sports Science - Susan at Carmel College and Laura at Wigan - and they are also looking forward to the England team's tour to Gibraltar later this year.
