BURY South MP Ivan Lewis will be taking to bed with Euro MP Gary Titley and the leader of Bury Council, Derek Boden tomorrow.
But there is nothing scandalous or even lazy about their actions - the three politicians will be very much on the move.
The bed in question is a hospital bed which the three men will be pushing from Prestwich through the Bury South constituency to Radcliffe as part of the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the NHS.
The three will be getting sponsored for their efforts and raising cash for the British Red Cross. They have already had promises of sponsorship from Frank Dobson MP, the secretary of state for health, and Alun Milburn MP, minister of state.
The push will start at the Longfield Centre in Prestwich at 12.15pm and end in Radcliffe.
