I AM a Darrener living in exile and it grieves me to read the way the town and people are treated by Big Brother Blackburn.
I ask myself how many true Darreners are left; those born and bred in Darwen who were proud of Darwen and those who would not stand by and be dictated to by outsiders.
They stood together, stuck up for the town through thick and thin, no matter what party ruled!
Not any more. So, I ask, what has happened to Darwen? Why is the town no longer like it used to be, united as one, no matter what?
