Blackburn Rovers fans are being urged to think of a name for their club's cuddly new mascot.
The blue and white lion, wearing his Rovers strip, was brought out by Rose Steele and Terry Pagett from the club's education department, and he will be unveiled as Ewood Park's lucky charm at one of the first home matches of the new season.
Fans have been invited to dream up the most appropriate name.
The winner of the Name The Mascot competition will receive two tickets for the game where the lion will be unveiled. The competition winner will also receive a new Blackburn Rovers strip.
The closing date of the competition is July 25.
Entries for the competition should be sent on a postcard to the Promotions Department, Lancashire Evening Telegraph, High Street, Blackburn, BB1 1HT. Normal competition rules apply and the editor's decision is final.
