REPORTS that pop giants New Order were set to play Blackburn's King George's Hall have been scotched. A spokeswoman for the band, who are re-forming this year for the Reading Festival, denied a newspaper report that the band had planned a warm-up gig in East Lancashire.
The spokeswoman confirmed the band had arranged a warm-up concert in Manchester but said no other dates were planned. Remember - it pays to read Pulse every Saturday to find out what's REALLY happening on the North West music scene.
