STUDENTS are taking their first steps on the road to stardom with the release of a compilation CD.
The album, entitled Unsigned Allsorts, contains various songs and performances recorded during the last year by students at Burnley College.
Tutor Steve Reid, a member of Burnley band The Machine Men, said: "The students are a grand bunch and they have worked hard to produce this CD. There are 15 very different tracks and I think the attempt is worthy of note."
This is the first commercial venture of its kind and if it is successful it could well become a permanent part of the curriculum.
The album, price £8.99, is available from Dawson's Music, Astonishing Sounds, Electron, Our Price, Burnley College Shop and UFI Records.
