LANCASHIRE Lynx crushed Barrow Border Raiders to stay on course for promotion from Division Two - but it wasn't enough to qualify for the final of the Trans Pennine Cup.
Lynx cemented their lead at the top with an impressive 32-14 victory but Oldham claimed a place in the final on points difference thanks to a 56-8 win over Workington.
Three first half tries from Lynx's Ray Waring, Darren Abram and Chris Kelly opened up a 20-0 advantage by the interval. Neil Parsley then went over early in the second period in a blistering spell as the Lynx dominated.
But tries from Barrow's Geoff Luxan and Stuart Rhodes pegged them back. Andy Ruane scored a try with seven minutes remaining and Phil Jones added another conversion. But the Raiders had the final say on the stroke of full time when Garry Ruddy touched down.
