FURIOUS taxi drivers joined a mass meeting against council moves to force them to drive black cabs.
They claimed their livelihoods would be ruined and that Blackburn Council was ignoring common sense by demanding all hackney carriages be black cabs.
But the council hit back, claiming drivers would be better protected in black cabs, which were purpose built for the job.
