THE recent survey carried out by the LET regarding A-boards and shop displays resulted in a landslide of 9 - 1 in favour of keeping them.
Now I give you a quote from the LET, April 1, by Mr Phil Watson, the new chief executive of Blackburn with Darwen Council: "From now it will be local people taking the decisions about the things which effect the borough the most. It is no use taking a dictatorial stance and we have to make sure everybody's viewpoint is taken into account."
Well 9 - 1 is a lot of views, but what is the town hall's response? LET June 24, Labour councillor Mr Dave Harling and Chairman Mr Andy Kay know nothing of Mr Watson's views or even what Blackburn people want.
Well, lads, since you are so far out of touch I suggest you tender your resignations forthwith and make way for someone who takes notice of the people.
Or maybe Mr Watson just said these words to ensure he is another fat cat with no intention of backing up his comments, but will keep drawing his mega pay packet. Will you keep your word, Mr Watson?
Remember, 9-1 is a powerful vote.
