HINDLEY'S Amberswood tip will reopen next Monday - with added security.
The council's civic amenity operators, Landfill Management Ltd, closed the site at the end of May for vital repairs to the concrete floor of the tipping compound.
Chairman of the Highways and Works Committee, Coun Steve Parker, said: "People will no doubt be glad to know, especially those living near to the civic amenity sites, that following problems with arson attacks, extra security arrangements are now being made."
