AN exciting time of the year for me - first of all we're coming to the peak of the Summer Roadshow season with the biggest show we do right here in St Helens next weekend. I hope very much to see you there.

And also, it's holiday time. I'm going to be off in a couple of weeks - me and my mate Richard are off to Turkey and there's a small chance that you may see us on TV with Gaby Roslyn on Channel 4's Real Holiday Show.

It should be quite interesting because Turkey is really hot at the moment - the average temperature is 115 degrees.

Here are this week's three new songs in the Starbeat Record Review.

Maria Naylor 'Love Is The God' - This is the follow up single to her debut hit Naked And Scared but that's not the first time she'd appeared in the charts - she also appeared on Robert Miles' One and One. Quite a middle of the road radio-friendly tune but I believe her album - which is released later this year - will be mind blowing so look out for it.

Jamiroquai 'Deeper Underground' - The chart is becoming faster and faster each week with more songs than ever going in straight at number one. Another Level did this last week and Jamiroquai have done it this week with their new single.

I don't know about you but almost every Jamiroquai song that has been released has taken me a good few listens to get in to - this one has had the same effect.

Hinda Hicks 'I Wanna Be Your Lady' - Hinda follows up her two previous hits If You Want Me and You Think You Own Me which were both brilliant. This one is slower but this style of music seems to be doing really well at the moment with the likes of Sparkle and Another Level.
