GUIDED countryside walks aim to help people enjoy free exercise and regain good health.
A series of 'walks for life' have been organised to help people regain fitness through exercising.
On Monday July 27 starting at 6.30pm Chris Ritson will lead a ramble around Pennington Flash Country Park. Meet at the park visitors' centre.
And on the following day Peter Woodward will lead a leisurely stroll around Hindley footpaths. Meet at 2pm at the garage in Atherton Road opposite Borsdane Avenue.
On August 12 an afternoon stroll is planned around Lowton with Hilda Norton. Meet at 1.30pm at the Red Lion, Lane Head.
Exercise Referral co-ordinator Carol Richardson said: "Walking is ideal free exercise suitable for any age or level of fitness. It will be an opportunity to get out in the fresh air, meet new friends and walk your way to health."
