POLICE are trying to trace a youth who exposed himself to two young girls as they made their way home from school.

The friends were walking through Larches Wood, Preston, at around 4pm on Tuesday, July 7, when the offender struck.

He is described as aged 18 to 21, with dark brown spiked hair, and wearing blue trousers and a jacket.

An elderly man was attacked while drinking in a pub in Lord Street, Preston, at around 1.30pm on Wednesday, July 8.

He was walking to the toilet when he was approached from behind by a man, who grabbed him by his throat and demanded his wallet. After a struggle the attacker, in his mid twenties, ran off.

He is described as 6ft 2ins, wearing a cream turtle neck jumper, jeans and black Adidas trainers. He had love bites on his neck.

Between 2pm and 5.35pm on Saturday, July 11, a thief broke into an R-registered BMW parked in a car park in Ringway, Preston.

The man, who had a Liverpool accent, stole a stereo player, a pair of sunglasses and a number of CDs. He was at least 6ft, with short black hair, and wore a white shirt and blue jeans.

At around 1pm on Friday, July 10, three thieves stole an elderly woman's purse from her bag as she walked through the market in Earl Street, Preston.

The offending gang consisted of a dark-haired woman, a male with fair hair and an Asian man.

Electrical equipment was stolen from a house in Coote Lane, Leyland, between 9.30am and 5.30pm on Saturday, July 11.

An blue Sierra, driven by a man in his late 20s, was seen parked in the driveway. He has short dark hair and was wearing a blue top with an orange or yellow stripe.
