A COUPLE were fatally injured when their motorcycle veered out of control and struck a lamp-post.
Barry Moyers and Lesley Painter, both aged 31, of Cherry Tree Drive, Parr, were travelling along Gaskell Street, Parr, in the direction of Peasley Cross, when the accident occurred at about 9.15pm on Sunday, July 12.
As they passed the Forward Autos garage their black Honda CB750 suddenly veered out of control and collided with the kerb before smashing into the lamp-post.
The couple were taken to Whiston Hospital but later died from their injuries.
