A PUB, restaurant and hotel complex on the moors above Darwen has been bought by Cumbrian-based brewers Jennings Brothers for more than £500,000.
The Old Rosins Inn at Pickup Bank, Hoddlesden, was owned for more than 15 years by husband and wife team Brian and Brenda Hankinson, who built it up into a thriving business and busy hotel.
Robin Barton, tied trade director at Jennings, described it as "a super addition to our estate".
He said: "We finally acquired The Old Rosins Inn after we had been negotiating for some time. Brian and Brenda have done a super job building the business up and Jennings would like to continue to invest in it.
"It is a very busy place and we will be looking at a refurbishment plan but at the moment we are having a good look at what we want to do next.
"It fits into the strategy of pubs and other places we have acquired over the last three or four years and we are looking forward to building it up further."
Management couple Mike and Ann Connell, who previously worked for Greenall's, have taken over.
