A NEW scheme to help small and medium sized firms get to grips with overseas markets has been launched.

The initiative is aimed at companies employing fewer than 500 people in Lancashire and other parts of the North West.

The European funded scheme will help employees become competent in foreign languages and dealing with other cultures.

As part of the scheme, firms will be also be offered the services of a team of foreign language consultants who will carry out market research in overseas countries.

Further details on the scheme are available from Dr Djeddour, head of the Language Centre at Manchester Business School on 0161 275 6560
