CARL Fogarty today dismissed reports that he will quit Superbikes at the end of this season.

Reports in The Sun said Blackburn's double world champ would inform Ducati bosses of his decision after next weekend's WSB championship round at Brands Hatch.

But Foggy said today: "That's The Sun for you.

"It's not right at all. It is just an attempt to sell more tickets for Brands Hatch.

"I do not know what's happening next year.

"But if I do race it will probably only be for one more year.

"I could go to Brands Hatch at the weekend and come home in the championship lead."

Fogarty currently trails championship leader Troy Corser by 33 points.

And his season has been dogged by mechanical failures.

But he added: "I'm still the quickest out there when things are right.

"The times when things have been right have been few and far between - there always seems to be some problems.

"This could be my last year - I am not saying it's not.

"But the first people I will talk to is Ducati."

Foggy was dealt a further blow today when it was confirmed that the cancelled Indonesia round will not now be replaced, cutting his chances of closing the gap to just four more rounds.
