A RICH double bill of roots and blues is in store when seasoned bluesman Taj Mahal comes to East Lancashire on Monday.
The multi-instrumentalist is supported at Colne Municipal Hall by guitarist Eugene "Hideaway" Bridges, who appeared earlier this year at the Burnley Blues Festival.
Taj Mahal, who began performing in Boston coffee houses in the 1950s, has played alongside the likes of John Lee Hooker, BB King, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones and Sheryl Crow.
His style incorporates influences from the Caribbean, West Africa and America he uses his gruff, smoky vocals to complement more than 20 different instruments.
Eugene "Hideaway" Bridges looks and sounds like a young BB King, with a remarkable intensity and stage presence.
